If you've ever thought "I want to start a social media account but have no idea where to even begin," SAME. Been there.
Messed up a few times too. But after lots of trial (and a lot of error), I finally figured out a beginner-friendly way to launch — and I'm sharing it all with you today!
When I first started, I tried posting everywhere — Instagram, TikTok, YouTube... total chaos.
Please don't do what I did. Choose ONE platform you love (or where your audience hangs out most) and get really good there first. For me, it was Instagram because I love posting photos and quick reels!
At first, I posted everything — pets, food, random rants. And guess what? No one cared because it was all over the place.
Once I picked a clear theme — helping new creators — things finally clicked. Pick a niche you actually like (fitness, beauty, memes, books, anything!) and stick to it.
I used to just randomly upload stuff when I “felt like it,” and... my account was stuck at 97 followers for MONTHS.
Now I plan content a week ahead. I literally have a simple list:
Monday: Tips post
Wednesday: Behind-the-scenes
Friday: Fun meme or relatable story
Trust me, planning saves your brainpower and keeps your page active without the panic.
Right now, short videos (like reels or shorts) are pure gold.
Even if you're shy, start small. I recorded my first video just showing my desk setup — no face needed! It still got way more views than any photo.
Don't wait till everything's perfect. Post that first video.
I'll be honest: my first month, I almost gave up 10 times. Growth feels slow at the start.
But once you build a habit — posting 3–4 times a week — it snowballs. One reel popped off for me after 6 weeks and I gained 500 followers in a weekend. Keep going even when it's quiet!
That's my no-gatekeeping beginner guide for starting your media account, Lykkers!
If you're planning to start soon, drop me a "🔥" in the comments! Or if you already have an account, tell me your theme — I wanna hype you up!
Let's crush it together!
