Hey salad lovers! 🥗✨

Let's be real — if you've only ever used Thousand Island dressing on your salad, you're seriously missing out! I used to be in that same boat.

It was creamy, sweet, and safe. But once I started experimenting with other dressings (some super simple to make at home!), my salads instantly leveled up 🙌

Today I'm sharing 5 of my all-time favorite dressings that totally changed the salad game for me. These are easy, fresh, and honestly way more interesting than the usual go-to!

1. Lemon Garlic Vinaigrette 🍋🧄

This one is bright, tangy, and makes any salad feel super fresh. Here's how I make it:

• 2 tablespoons olive oil

• 1 tablespoon lemon juice

• 1 small garlic clove (grated or finely chopped)

• Salt + pepper to taste

Just mix everything in a jar and shake it up! I love using this with spinach, arugula, and avocado.

2. Yogurt Herb Dressing 🌿

Think of this as a lighter, creamier option that's not heavy at all. Perfect for summer!

• 3 tablespoons plain yogurt

• 1 teaspoon olive oil

• 1 teaspoon lemon juice

• Chopped fresh herbs (like dill, parsley, or mint)

• Salt and black pepper

I use this with cucumber, cherry tomatoes, and even on grain bowls. It's refreshing and mild!

3. Honey Mustard 🐝

Sweet, tangy, and great for people who are new to trying non-creamy dressings. This one's a crowd-pleaser:

• 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

• 1 tablespoon honey

• 2 tablespoons olive oil

• A splash of apple cider vinegar

It goes amazingly well with roasted chicken salad or crunchy coleslaw-style mixes.

4. Soy Sesame Dressing 🥢

If you like Asian-style flavors, this one is a must-try:

• 1 tablespoon soy sauce

• 1 tablespoon sesame oil

• 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

• ½ teaspoon sugar

• Toasted sesame seeds (optional but so good!)

I drizzle this over cabbage, edamame, carrots, and cucumber — think of it as a cold salad bowl dressing!

5. Balsamic Maple Vinaigrette 🍁

A slightly sweet, slightly tangy one that tastes amazing with roasted veggies or nuts in salad:

• 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

• 1 teaspoon maple syrup

• 2 tablespoons olive oil

• Pinch of salt

I love this with roasted pumpkin, kale, and walnuts. Seriously addictive!

So there you go — 5 ways to break up with Thousand Island and give your salads some personality! 😄
